Highlights - Voices of the River

Estelle Michaelides, the designer behind the label ‘Micky In The Van’ once again creates an experiential show with her "Voices of the River" AW19 collection at the Rivoli in Melbourne. 

Drawing on life and cultural experiences to bring us her trademark layering of incredible patterned separates in gorgeous hues of pinks, plums, forest green, camel, dark teals and gold.

" I love how artisans can manifest their life story into their designs. Mostly it's an unconscious movement, purely occurring through personal evolution and so it is, the thread of my history, my environment, my story is woven in each of my designs. I need to share my life narrative through my work. It needs to be tied into each fabric print, into each stitch so that my voice has a purpose".
